Porsche brings its electrification ambitions to two wheels.
The German automaker launched two electric bicycles on Thursday, as well as the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo, the latest world premiere of its EV flagship.
It is said that these two electric bicycles are inspired by Taycan, which is Porsche's first electric car and created its broader EV ambitions. Although the underlying inspiration and foundation are the same-all have a full-suspension carbon fiber frame-each bicycle has a slightly different purpose and customer. His bicycle is a collective effort. They were developed in collaboration with eBike expert Rotwild and use components from famous bicycle parts manufacturers Shimano, Magura and Crankbrothers. Porsche's high-end design style (saliva and polish) and customers can get luxury electric bicycles priced between US$8,500 and US$10,700.
Both Porsche electric bicycles are manufactured in Diebold, Germany. They will be sold at Porsche dealers and some professional bicycle shops this spring. There are three frame sizes.
The Porsche eBike Sport is priced at US$10,700, while the "cheap" Porsche eBike Cross is priced at US$8,549.
